About This Blog

Hello there!

I created this blog years ago to document my travels and experiences overseas and have just been awfully lazy up until now to update it!

First off, to explain the title of the blog...

One of my favorite Christmas songs is called I Wonder As I Wander by the King's Singers. (oh how I love that British sextet!) And I thought it was wildly appropriate for this blog about my love of traveling and of other cultures. I have always enjoyed the beauty of new places and how it adds to my thoughts on life, love and everything else. I feel like other countries give you new & fresh ideas, and I am all about mixing things up a bit.

If there's one thing I hate it's monotony.

Anyway, to tell you a little about myself & my hubby and partner in crime:

My name is Megan and I am a Dutch-descendent-American married to a German-descendent-Canadian. Little weird, I know but it makes for a great story! And we are both insanely proud of our heritage and want to visit the places where our families hail from!

My husband's name is Ian and he is just as excited to see the world as I am to take him with me to the places I've been! He's only been in Canada & the U.S., while I've been to England, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Italy, France & Brazil. There are many many more places on our bucket list which I will blog about later :)

We are currently residing in the U.S. until this fall when we will be moving to Alberta, Canada and then next year possibly to British Columbia for Ian to attend grad school.

During this time and beyond we will be saving and hopefully traversing our way to different places and revisiting other places that we both adore!

Here is a picture of us in front of the Swan House (where the famous scenes from Hunger Games was filmed and so happens to be near my hometown in Georgia!)

Feel free to explore this blog and if you want to give me a shoutout feel free to follow me on twitter: @megara_seitz or email me at meg.verhoef@gmail.com!
